ARRI Unveils 360 EVO: Cutting-Edge Stabilized Remote Head with 360-Degree Rotation

ARRI introduces the 360 EVO stabilized remote head, featuring groundbreaking 360-degree rotation on both roll and pan axes. Sharing hardware and software with TRINITY 2, this innovation offers versatile shot possibilities, cost-effective solutions, and an unparalleled price-performance ratio for cine and broadcast markets.

ARRI, a leading name in camera technology, introduces its latest innovation, the 360 EVO stabilized remote head. Enhancing the success of the SRH-360, the 360 EVO boasts an extended 360-degree rotation on both the roll and pan axes, a robust design, and seamless integration with remote systems. Capitalizing on the technology from the TRINITY 2, this new addition offers versatile shot possibilities for film and video productions, particularly excelling in dramas, commercials, and music videos.

Building on the success of TRINITY 2, which revolutionized creative opportunities with its 360-degree rotation on the roll axis, the ARRI 360 EVO takes this capability to new heights. The three-axis stabilized remote head opens doors to dynamic roll-axis shots, especially when mounted to cranes or cable cams above live broadcast events.

The 360 EVO shares the same software platform and user-friendly GUI as TRINITY 2, ensuring a smooth transition for operators. Accessories such as cables, brackets, and SAM plates are also interchangeable between the two, offering cost-effective solutions for professionals. With compatibility with tools like ARRI’s Digital Remote Wheels DRW-1 and the new Digital Encoder Head DEH-2, users can seamlessly control both systems without the need for additional accessories or extensive retraining.

LBUS connectivity streamlines digital and metadata workflows, while the focus on Unreal Engine integration facilitates virtual production. Future-proofing the system, ARRI plans to enable plug-and-play control of the 360 EVO over the internet through an authorized repeater cloud service, providing unparalleled flexibility in control options.

The 360 EVO, with its 360-degree roll-axis rotation, generous payload capacity of up to 30 kg, compact size, versatile connectivity, 12/24 V camera power supply, and rock-steady stabilization even at long focal lengths, offers an exceptional price-performance ratio. This makes it an ideal and budget-friendly choice for professionals in the cine and broadcast markets.

The first shipments of the 360 EVO, along with upgrades for SRH-360 owners, are set to commence in Q1 2024.
