Cartoon Network carved the story of The Powerpuff Girls, which has been saving the day with heroic acts for 20 years. Celebrating its 20th anniversary in India, Cartoon Network, in partnership with The Souled Store, has announced a month-long colossal campaign, which unveiled the inaugural list that celebrates girl power, called the POW-fect Girls list. This list features 20 extraordinary women from the diverse worlds of entertainment, arts and fashion, literature, fitness and sports, and entrepreneurship.
Actor Mithila Palkar, one of the POW-fect Girls, said, “Happiness is the key, girls should always be happy and spread it too!” Nandita Mahtani, fashion designer, said, “For me, the Powerpuff girls are metaphors for fearlessness. From their early years of schooling, these girls have fought each problem with a courageous attitude!”
The trio that they are, Mohan Sisters- Shakti, Mukti and Neeti Mohan mentioned, “The Powerpuff Girls is the first and the only cartoon series that celebrates girl power; they give a strong message that you can fly and conquer the world.” Entrepreneur Revathi Roy, saidg “Keep going forward, let yourself free and don’t think about the barriers. Never give up.”Sports star and Indian shooter Heena Sidhu, said, “Enjoy the hard work you are putting into the process. And educate the girl child- education is the foundation of everything around us.”
The POW-fect Girls list features Ira Dubey, Sucheta Pal, Mithila Palkar, Kubbra Sait, Rani Rampal, Heena Sidhu, Revathi Roy, Pooja Dhingra, Pernia Qureshi, Nandita Mahatani, Rouble Nagi, Mohan Sisters – Shakti Mohan, Neeti Mohan, Mukti Mohan, RJ Malishka, Mansi Zaveri, Kamiya Jani, Shweta Tripathi, Shibani Dandekar, Anaita Shroff Adajania, Harnidh Kaur and Sairee Chahal.
