Wohler Technologies, a renowned manufacturer specializing in video, audio, and data monitoring solutions, has expanded its successful iVAM range with the launch of the iVAM2-12G. This new addition, building upon the success of the iVAM1-12G introduced in mid-2022, represents a significant step forward in advanced audio and video monitoring technology.
The iVAM2-12G is a 2U audio/video monitor designed to meet the evolving needs of professionals in the industry. It can efficiently monitor and meter up to 16 channels of 12G-SDI audio and video, coupled with two channels of analog audio, all within a compact and versatile 2U form factor. The monitor comes equipped with dual touch screens, allowing operators to seamlessly toggle between video, meters, loudness measurement, and menus.
One of the standout features of the iVAM2-12G is its 64 presets, providing users with a high degree of customization and flexibility. The dual 4.3” touch screen front panel incorporates design philosophies from Wohler’s previous iAM Series products, ensuring a user-friendly interface. Additionally, physical front panel controls offer easy access to main volume, balance, and auxiliary controls, complementing the touch controls for enhanced operational convenience.
In terms of connectivity, the iVAM2-12G includes a HDMI output for external monitoring of the selected video source, while analog XLR, headphone, and selected 3G-SDI outputs are standard features. The rear panel of the monitor provides upgrade options for monitoring AES3, MADI 64 (including a fiber option), SMPTE 2110, and SMPTE 2022-6. Users can further customize their setup with an optional AoIP card, accommodating either Dante or Ravenna card options, or an additional 8 channels of analog inputs and outputs.
For added convenience, the iVAM2-12G includes a front-mounted USB port for software updates, ensuring compatibility with emerging technologies. The network interface facilitates remote management, and APIs enable seamless integration with third-party controllers, making it an ideal solution for diverse professional applications.
