Grass Valley, a Belden Brand, has supplied Saint Petersburg TV Channel with 12 LDX 82 Flex cameras, featuring extended colour gamut and optional HDR capabilities. The cameras enhance the TV’s live studio productions with high-quality content for news, morning talk shows and music programming.
Grass Valley worked with systems integrator, DNK Corporation, to encompass SD/HD/3G and SDR/HDR content simultaneously. With LDX 82 and XCU base stations, Saint Petersburg TV can now manage any type of production, host signals and support national integration, from two dedicated video and audio control rooms.
“The LDX 82 Flex cameras are a great addition to our live productions as they are unique in their native HDR capabilities and compatible with 3G fiber and tri-ax transmission systems,” said Iliya Osichev, CTO, Saint Petersburg TV Channel.
The camera is a single-format 1080i or 720p one, with imaging, processing and its performance, built for business flexibility and operational excellence. It will enable the upgrade of LDX 82 Flex to any other camera in the LDX 82 series range, based on business needs. “The LDX cameras with the in-house developed Xensium CMOS imagers will enable Grass Valley to improve quality,” noted Tim Banks, VP, Sales and Marketing, EMEA, Grass Valley.
