Toonz Media Group and Cisneros Media Forge Strategic Partnership for Animated Series “Nerlies: Space Babies”

Toonz Media Group and Cisneros Media join forces for the co-production of "Nerlies: Space Babies," a whimsical animated series inspired by popular toys. This collaboration aims to deliver compelling content for children worldwide, blending imaginative storytelling with positive themes of self-discovery and acceptance.

Toonz Media Group, a global leader in kids and family entertainment, and Cisneros Media, a prominent media conglomerate based in Miami, have officially embarked on a significant co-production and co-distribution agreement for the highly anticipated animated series “Nerlies: Space Babies.” This collaboration marks a pivotal moment for both companies as they join forces to bring to life the whimsical adventures of the Nerlies, inspired by the best-selling toys from the renowned Mexican toy giant, Distroller.

The strategic partnership between Toonz Media Group and Cisneros Media aims to leverage their combined creative strengths to deliver compelling content that resonates with audiences worldwide. By harnessing the popularity of the Nerlies toys and translating them into an engaging animated series, the two companies are poised to create a captivating entertainment experience for children and families alike.

“Nerlies: Space Babies” follows the story of Ampi, a quirky yet shy 7-year-old girl, whose life takes an unexpected turn when she finds herself responsible for the care and feeding of three mischievous space babies. As Ampi navigates the challenges of her newfound role, she discovers that the whimsical antics of the space babies hold the key to embracing her own uniqueness and finding her place in the world.

Certified as a European Union production, “Nerlies: Space Babies” will consist of 52 episodes, each running for 11 minutes. The series will be preceded by a comprehensive global digital content strategy aimed at building anticipation and engaging audiences across various platforms.

In terms of distribution, Cisneros Media Distribution will exclusively handle media content distribution rights in Latin America and North America, leveraging its extensive network and expertise in the region. Meanwhile, Toonz Media Group will oversee distribution rights for the rest of the world, ensuring that “Nerlies: Space Babies” reaches audiences in key international markets.

Both Toonz Media Group and Cisneros Media are committed to creating enduring franchises that inspire and uplift children.
