Korea Metaverse Industry Association (K-META) Partners with Pixotope Technologies to Advance Virtual Production Expertise

K-META and Pixotope Technologies have signed an MOU to develop training courses and educational programs, fostering talent and enhancing global competitiveness in the metaverse and virtual production industries.

The Korea Metaverse Industry Association (K-META), under the leadership of Chairperson Shin Soojung, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Pixotope Technologies, aimed at advancing technologies and fostering expertise in the metaverse and virtual production sectors. Pixotope Technologies, renowned for its XR solutions, including virtual production, stands at the forefront of innovation in the metaverse and media entertainment industries.

The MOU, signed by K-META and Pixotope, underscores the mutual recognition of the necessity to cultivate experts, enhance global content competitiveness, and fortify the metaverse industry’s ecosystem. Collaborative efforts between the two entities will encompass joint development of specialized training courses, educational programs leveraging both parties’ infrastructure, and knowledge exchange on advanced XR technologies.

Choi Yongki, Vice Chairman of K-META, articulated, “Through this MOU, we aim to establish an enduring partnership with Pixotope while nurturing professionals equipped to meet the evolving needs of the metaverse and virtual production sectors.” Echoing this sentiment, Andrew Tan, Vice President of Pixotope APAC, expressed optimism, stating, “With the MOU now in effect, K-META and Pixotope are poised to collaborate closely in nurturing global talent poised to lead the next generation of the virtual production industry, particularly in Korea. I eagerly anticipate our journey together in this collaborative endeavor.”
