In the Emerging Technology category, XL8’s flagship product, MediaCAT, claimed the spotlight. This DEG Award recognizes companies that have developed pioneering technologies capable of positively impacting the future of digital entertainment distribution. MediaCAT, a cloud-based platform powered by XL8’s proprietary AI Machine Translation engines, streamlines media localization through a suite of innovative tools. It earned acclaim for leveling the playing field, making it possible to monetize a wide range of global content, including material previously deemed too expensive to localize. MediaCAT boasts support for over 45 tier 1 languages, with its in-house machine translation engines trained on authentic source data to provide colloquial translations reflecting natural speech patterns.
