Test and measurement innovator, PHABRIX, is set to make waves at IBC 2023 as it showcases an impressive lineup of new software features and advanced solutions. Visitors to the event, held at Amsterdam RAI from 15th to 18th September, will have the opportunity to explore the latest offerings from PHABRIX, including the Qx and QxL rasterizers, the QxP portable waveform monitor, and the renowned Sx Series of handheld instruments.
The centerpiece of the Qx Series demonstrations is the new QxP portable waveform monitor. Building on the flexible architecture of the highly acclaimed QxL rasterizer, the QxP stands out with its ability to handle 12G-SDI and 25GbE UHD IP workflows. Its 3U multi-touch 1920 x 1200 7” LCD screen, equipped with integral V-Mount or Gold-mount battery plates, ensures unparalleled portability.
Regardless of the production requirements, whether it’s SD, HD, UHD, SDR, HDR, SDI, or IP, PHABRIX’s QxP portable waveform monitor and QxL and Qx rasterizers offer user-configurable options and advanced tools, providing full operational flexibility when transitioning to next-generation workflows.
PHABRIX is introducing new features for the Qx Series at IBC 2023. Now supporting Full Range generation and analysis, the Qx Series facilitates comprehensive testing and evaluation. The waveform analysis capabilities are also enhanced, powered by PHABRIX’s patented DDR-based processing technology, making it a class-leading waveform instrumentation. This level of precision is crucial for tasks like camera shading and image grading, all while retaining real-time operation flexibility and supporting a wide range of SDR/HDR SDI and IP video formats.
The event will also see the latest update to the Rx Series of 2K/3G/HD/SD rasterizers, boasting a new 6-bar gamut toolset designed to highlight out-of-gamut areas in the picture window. The instrument’s gamut monitoring meter bars for the YCbCr and RGB color spaces enable pixel-level monitoring at both YCbCr/RGB levels simultaneously, catering to the most demanding needs.
Not to be overlooked, the renowned Sx Series of handheld instruments will take the spotlight, featuring the Hybrid IP/SDI, Sx TAG, and SxE, perfect for advanced SDI physical layer analysis. These key products are indispensable for all Broadcast Engineers, particularly during live event set-ups.
Martin Mulligan, CEO of PHABRIX, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Test and Measurement instruments are our customers’ lifelines when it comes to rapid fault diagnosis in time-critical situations. It’s vital we continue to develop products that support all their formats and production approaches, especially as this industry continues to evolve so rapidly. IBC gives us a fantastic opportunity to discuss our customer’s needs and the latest challenges they are facing.”
