PHABRIX Announces Retirement Of CEO & Founder, Phillip Adams

Martin Mulligan succeeds as new CEO, and new appointment Hiroshi Kajita as Chairman.

Leading test and measurement innovator, PHABRIX, has shared the news of CEO Phillip Adams’ retirement after 18 years of founding the company. Martin Mulligan, a long-standing member of PHABRIX and the current SVP Sales & Operations, will step into the role of CEO. Additionally, PHABRIX welcomes Hiroshi Kajita, former Head of Media Solutions at Sony Europe, as the new Chairman.

Adams leaves behind a remarkable 40-year career in the professional broadcast industry, marked by his previous ventures and successful leadership at PHABRIX. Founded in 2005, PHABRIX has gained global recognition as a manufacturer of cutting-edge test and measurement equipment. Under Adams’ guidance, the company has continuously evolved to align with the ever-changing broadcast and media workflow trends. With a dedicated workforce of over 40 professionals and numerous awards for technological achievement, PHABRIX is enjoying another fruitful year, having recently participated in NAB 2023 and preparing for the upcoming IBC 2023.

Taking over as CEO, Martin Mulligan brings extensive experience in the broadcast technology sector, spanning nearly 25 years. Having previously held key positions at Quantel and Snell Advanced Media, Mulligan has been an integral part of PHABRIX since 2015, contributing to global management operations and demonstrating his exceptional leadership abilities.

Joining the leadership team is Hiroshi Kajita, who boasts an impressive 38-year tenure at Sony. Kajita’s extensive knowledge and expertise, particularly in 4K, OB, and IP developments for major broadcasters, make him an invaluable addition to PHABRIX. Having served as Head of Media Solutions at Sony Europe, Kajita played a pivotal role in establishing Sony as a global leader in media and entertainment products, solutions, and services.
