Avid, a media technology provider for the creation, distribution and monetisation of media assets for global media organisations, will showcase next-generation tools and workflow solutions at CABSAT 2018. Accelerating media production workflows across broadcast, newsroom, and asset management, Avid’s new MediaCentral solutions will take center stage at the event. Attendees can see the power of MediaCentral | Cloud UX, a task-oriented graphical user interface that runs on virtually any operating system and device and handles collaboration across teams and locations. It will appear alongside MediaCentral | Production Management, which provides fully customisable, advanced workflow and file management for mid-sized to large production teams and MediaCentral | Asset Management, which manages the entire lifecycle of content, making it easy to browse and retrieve media across multiple tiers of storage for reuse or repurposing.
For post-production, MediaCentral | Editorial Management is a new media asset management tool, that enables users to collaborate in secure and simply configured media workflows without the need for a non-linear editor. Avid will display its Media Composer, alongside the Avid Artist | DNxIV interface, which offers comprehensive format support and easily captures, monitors and outputs 4K, UHD.
Also on display will be Avid Artist | DNxIP, built in partnership with AJA Video Systems, easily manages and delivers high-res content over IP for greater flexibility and efficiency, and, Avid NEXIS | PRO. Designed for smaller post facilities, this flexible storage solution now scales to 160TB – double its previous capacity, giving post facilities the performance advantages enjoyed by larger Avid NEXIS customers.
