Audinate, of Dante media networking technology, has announced a hands-on, interactive and educational track at the Dante Networking World event, 2018. The new course, titled ‘Optimising Your Dante Network’ will give attendees real-world instances and the opportunities to apply their knowledge.
It will include a manufacturer showcase featuring Dante-enabled products from audio manufacturers. One of them will be ‘Introduction to Dante’, which will feature the Dante Level 1 and Level 2 certification training with interactive workstations for practice. Topics that will be covered are audio-networking fundamentals, basic networking concepts, creation of a small-scale Dante network, redundancy, clocking, latency and multi-cast.
‘Dante Level 3 Certification” is designed for those that have completed Levels 1 and 2, and includes complex systems. The course deep dives into audio networking concepts, best practices for using Dante on mixed-use networks and troubleshooting techniques.
‘Optimising Your Dante Network’ is for intermediate to advanced users and includes networking fundamentals, IP addressing techniques, optimising network resilience, integration of audio networks with IT infrastructure, differences between broadcast, multicast and unicast, and best practices for network security.
