Cineom Broadcast India has believed in taking bold steps towards progress since it began operations in 2000. 16 years later, it has partnered with leading vendors to deploy turnkey solutions in audio, video, broadcast, surveillance, media and entertainment in India, Middle East and Africa.
Last year, Cineom executed a system integration project setting up 10 cameras for multipurpose broadcast production and play-out facility at Cisco’s Bangalore event centre, which is used by the company to capture and transmit events to its various global campuses.
Vinayak Deo said, “Besides equipping the multipurpose event centre hall with 10 cameras, we set up a production control room, TX through IP and CAR room with file-based workflow and audio over Ethernet (using Dante). The project included installing a robotic camera, Cisco Telepresence systems, VoIP Intercom system, corporate presentation systems, multi-screen rear projection consisting of 7×4 meter screen, six channel play-out as well as management systems.”
Another big win for Cineom was designing a production facility at Tanzania’s Dar es Salaam. “It is the only professional audio studio of its kind in East Africa with 5.1 studio using C24 and multiple NEVE outboard gears, edit rooms, graphics room and a lavish and big Chroma screen setup for in-house shoots,” said Shailesh Parab. Incidentally, Cineom picked up this project after other systems integration companies turned it down, due to the facility’s remote location.
Having continually risen to various challenges, the company’s management now wants to explore new ways to take Cineom on newer paths to glory, taking advantage of benefits accrued from earlier projects undertaken and its strong equity nationally and globally.
