Leading system integration company Cineom Broadcast last month conducted a workshop on Arri Amira, a versatile documentary-style camera in Mumbai followed by another one in Kerala.
The workshop was hosted by Oliver Temmler, product specialist and product manager of Amira, who besides sharing workflow demonstration for various editing and colour grading suites, ushered a hands-on experience to the participants. The workshop was attended by cinematographers and DoPs who shoot for TV series, shows, commercials and also technical people heading broadcast channels. Arri Amira, a versatile documentary- style camera that combines exceptional image quality and affordable CFast 2.0 workflows, has been in news for its ergonomic design optimised for single-operator use and extended shoulder-mounted operation. Ready to pick up and shoot straight out of the camera bag, Amira is tough enough to be used on the fly. The system also features in-camera grading with preloaded 3D LUTs, as well as 200 fps slow motion. It is suitable for a great variety of production types, from reportage and corporate films to TV drama and low-budget movies. The camera also features the same sensor and exceptional image quality as Arri Alexa, recording superior HD 1080 or 2K pictures that are suitable for any distribution format.
